Brenda Sue (née Smith), a dance instructor, and James Liston Pressly, Sr., raised Pressly in Kinston, North Carolina. Jessica Liston is her sister, and James Liston Jr. is her brother. Jaime Elizabeth Pressly studied gymnastics and dance for 11 years before landing a role as a gymnast on the short-lived TV show “Push.
